Commvnion

Commvnion is a unique examination of the qualitative value of human existence. The project touches on a variety of existential issues ranging from life and death to the intangible reality of consciousness.

Ultimately, I hope the project manages to ask the question “what is art?” The art, in this scenario, has very little to do with the individual pieces and instead relies upon the context of their presentation, the questions they create, and the elaborate and extensive universe that the project exists in.

Oddly enough, one of the most difficult undertakings was restoring the main header image, which is a painting by Louis-Léopold Boilly entitled Tartini’s Dream. I think I now unintentionally have the best restoration of the painting available online.
